So, my two friends (we’ll call them Blendra and Zipop) and I decided to make a pact that we would try to write everyday, or close to that. Sounds tough, right? It is. I don’t even keep up on my kids’ blogs (online, they are still at the “fun age,” I don’t want to mess with that).
But… Zipop always says you can master anything with 10,000 hours of practice, which I think he copied from somewhere.
In Zipop’s blog post, he mentions a secret tip from Jerry Seinfeld. Just seeing the words “secret” and “Jerry Seinfeld” enticed me. Go ahead, click it, I’ll wait.
We decided to take Seinfeld’s advice and Blendra printed out a calendar for each of us. On days that we write, we put a big red X. It’s sort of a way for us to compete – er, uh – motivate each other. Whoever has the longest chain of X’s wins!
Now excuse me while I get my sharpie and put an X on September 27.
Is this just going to be a place where we talk smack about each other?
